Ian completed his supervision and mentoring training with Isobel Cosgrove and Sally Blades in September 2014.

In many of the caring professions, supervision and mentoring has been established as a valuable and effective tool for professional development.
It provides an opportunity for practitioners to explore and resolve any issues that may be affecting their working and personal life and offers support and guidance at times when we may feel a little lost or stuck.

Supervision isn’t about someone with greater experience looking over your shoulder it’s about sharing experiences, knowledge and wisdom in a way that both the supervisee and supervisor can grow together. It is a relationship of equal status.

With over 8 years clinical experience and as a founding member of the Zita West fertility network Ian can bring a broad depth of knowledge and experience to his supervision work. He has built a very successful practice in Farnham, Surrey and has recently launched another successful practice in Hove, East Sussex.

Ian is also able to offer a unique understanding of BAcC policies and procedures as a current member of the staff team. Ian has worked as the student membership manager with the BAcC for over 7 years and with this he has developed an unrivalled knowledge of the ins and outs of starting and developing a practice.

Ian is keen to work with any therapists but has a particular interest in helping new graduates get off the ground. He is also keen to put his experience with the Zita West fertility network to use within his supervision work.

Ian is able to offer 1:1 sessions as well as small group sessions.

If you are interested in either starting a group or having 1:1 supervision then Ian is happy to offer a free 30 minute trial session. Sessions can be carried out by skype, phone or face to face. Ian is always happy to answer any questions you may have so do get in touch.
